Up to four passes, printed in order. Fewer inks read punchier — a bit “off” is the riso look.

Match colors Tone bands

Match colors mixes the passes to chase the source hues; tone bands deal each ink a slice from light to dark.

Dots Grain Lines Squares

Dot gain 0.35 Misregistration 2 px Re-roll registration and paper each print

Grain is burned into the master and stays put; registration and paper fibre change per print, like a riso flipbook.

Paper grain 0.5 Ink clouds 0.35 Grime 0.15 Ghosting 0.25 Tire tracks 0.2

Ghosting reprints a faint echo of the previous impression down the sheet; tire tracks and bow-tie scuffs are the feed wheels pressing into fresh ink.

Stepped rates hold frames for the stop-motion flipbook feel; native reprints every source frame.
